What is Praise?
Praise means “to commend, to applaud or magnify.” For the Christian, praise to God is an expression of worship, lifting-up and glorifying the Lord. It is an expression of humbling ourselves and centering our attention upon the Lord with heart-felt expressions of love, adoration and thanksgiving.
What is Worship?
Worship means to be devoted to and full of admiration for someone (in this context, God). To have or express feelings of profound adoration.
What is Praise & Worship?
Therefore, Praise and worship from the above definition of both words (Praise & worship) could mean an expression of worship and feelings of profound adoration - to Who? God of course.
- Do they Go hand in Hand - Yes "I will worship towards thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name" - Psa 138:2
- How often should we engage - Forever and Always "To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will sing praise to thee for ever" - Psa 30:12
Don't be deceived by religion - Christianity is no longer a mere religion but a personal relationship with God via Christ. You need to engage both weapon to access some hidden mysteries in this kingdom. Don't dance, don't clap and don't sing in the church is...Like i always say, we are not here to see which denomination is right. We are here to rub minds and reason together. Its wrong saying MY Denomination is the best "for if a house is divided against itself, will it stand?"
