Hindrances to Healing - natural healing

We will be talking about a very peculiar issue today - natural healing (God's Kind of Healing). There are a lot of speculations about healing in the church today. Different denominations believe in different things. Often Christians even fight about these issues. We are not going to make a lot of comments and thoughts of our own concerning healing and the hindrances to it. We will let the Bible speak for itself. Therefore, we will be reading quite a lot so as to help us understand the hindrances to healing and how to tackle them.

Sin, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, including occult activities can be a hindrance to a healing to occur.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much”. James 5:16
“But let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep”. I Cor. 11:28-30

Doctors today state that "As many as 80% of those sitting in the hospital waiting rooms have nothing organically wrong with them. Their illness is psychosomatic. Their negative thinking, their unresolved hostilities and anxieties/ broke through the immunity factor and illness overtook them." Ref: Matt. 9:2-7; Ps. 38:3; Ps. 31:10; Ps. 32:3,5; John 5:14.

Doubt - Unbelief - Lack of faith can be a hindrance to a healing to occur.
“But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways”. James 1:6,7,8

It can be God’s purpose for a healing not to occur – to glorify his name
Why am I talking or saying this you may ask. But take time out to examine this two incidents in the bible
(Blind man healed)
“And as He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents/ that he should be born blind?" Jesus answered, "It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was in order that the works of God might be displayed in him”. John 9:1-3

(Lazarus raised from the dead)
“But when Jesus heard it, He said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it." John 11:4

We must realize the sovereignty of God. He created the universe and all therein. Nothing is impossible for Him to do. He is in control. He makes no mistakes. Nothing passes by Him that He is unaware of. His timing is perfect. He desires to glorify Himself in all things and has promised that nothing can separate us from His love (Rom. 8:35-39).

Be patient and build up your faith in him.Your healing is on the way – your divine healing is now

  1. keep up the good work. Fasting is one of the most important healers of the body and mind, even drawing one closer to God. We would probably be shocked to know just how much it would help, if people only tried it ( as our Lord's example or even scripture)
