The Power of the Word Of God - Living & Active

I sincerely think that many children of God have not yet realized the tremendous power of the word of God.  Therefore, we’ll be looking at the Power of the word of God or its potency as outlined in scriptures. Many of us read the word but we are yet to know the POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD contained therein. “God's word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God's word judges a person's thoughts and intentions” - Heb 4:12  (GW)

The Word of God creates

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.” Hebrew 11: 3.

“By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.”  Psalm 33: 6. Nothing creates faster than the word of God. Remember in the book of Genesis how created everything via the word? This is to say “If you need a Husband, just command it out by the power in the word. If you need a Wife, Academic excellence, Marital blessings, financial help and everything you ever need; just command it out with the power in the word”

God’s Word heals

 “He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.” Psalm 107:20.  The Roman centurion knew that and said to Jesus: “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof.  But just say the word, and my servant will be healed” - Matthew 8:8. Also, while on earth, Jesus “drove out the demon spirits with a word and healed all the sick” according to Matthew 8: 16. This simply means if you have a sickness or affliction in your body or that of your loved ones, the word is the most potent prescribed doze to use.

The Word of God sanctifies

In his prayer for his disciples in John 17:17 Jesus said: “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”

I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus to read and study the word diligently. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God” Colossians 3: 16.

Read it every day.  Study and memorize it.  God’s words are miracle-words.  The power and usefulness of your ministry will depend on how much you value the word of God.  How often you read it and meditate on it.  It’s a question of life or death.
