What is Edifying – Edify yourself to the top

As we’ve entered a ‘new year’ we need to edify ourselves in order to attain our greatest height this season. When we talk about edifying or edification in the body of Christ, we simply mean enlightening or uplifting so as to encourage intellectual or moral improvement. A believer who is not well edified and fed will soon expire (what do people do with expired products? We throw them away) “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men” - Mat 5:13

In our family, we need edifying ourselves on a daily basic (as a wife, you can edify his inner man); In our business, our academic, and what have you. The Word of God is powerful enough to edify every areas and aspect of our lives. Christianity is not a ‘Religion’ with bunch of rules ad regulations (Laws) it’s a personal relationship. You can never be greater than your in-depth of the word in the Christendom.

It’s a new year – let’s cut any activities that will act as a load against our edification in God's Word. Read your bible and other anointed books. Purchase some if you can, download some from our free download page; settle down to read and listen to the word. God’s word is potent and active and it’s capable of leading you to your destination “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” – Psalms 119:105.

It’s a big slap on redemption for unbelievers to be the ones dictating to us, employing us and supervising us. I'm not trying to be blunt but its not scriptural. We have the mind of Christ remember? All this are happening  because we are not yet rooted and edified to take our rightful position as the employer of labour and the builders of nations “And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. “ - Isa 58:12.

Friends, it’s a happy new year ahead. Let’s get edified and ready for the masters’ use.
As you keep reading and meditating on the scriptures, don't give up - Remember, its inward transformation before outward change.
