In our Daily Bible Study Today, we’ll be talking about the beginning of wisdom. What is wisdom and how to acquire wisdom? We’ll be taking our motivation from the wise king – Solomon. Solomon said the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord and we stand to agree with him. If you check through scriptures, you’ll see that those who make great mark have one thing in common “for I feared the lord” David, Joseph, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and many more.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” - Pro 4:7
This is to say, the most important possession one can acquire is wisdom.
How do you acquire wisdom then? “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. You will live longer because of me, and years will be added to your life. If you are wise, your wisdom will help you. If you mock, you alone will be held responsible.” Pro 9:10 – 12.
The fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. No wisdom, no success – No fear of the Lord, no wisdom.
When you fear the lord, he reveals things out of the ordinary to you and when that is in place, you are called a man of wisdom.
Solomon remained the wisest man only when he walked in the fear of the lord. Once he moved away from fearing God and embracing foreign women, his wisdom became stale? – Then he began to say “Vanity upon vanity”
Go get wisdom – The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the lord. Fear the lord (not scared of him but reference him for who he in)
