Did you know that joy serves as witness to others; of the promises and love of God? What He did for you, He can do for others as well. His joy should not be limited, but rather should be unleashed upon whosoever will receive and follow after Him.
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Matthew 7:24-27.
Ask and receive so that your joy may be full. Jesus wants us to ask for things in His Name, so that we may be filled with joy. This is the reward for overcoming in victory which He has prepared for us to receive. Too many Christians are poor receivers. He wants to give us many things, including the keys to the Kingdom.
“...Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24.
“The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.” Ruth 2:12.See The Importance of Joy for more details.
We are to demonstrate the joy that Christ has given to us for all the world to see. We are a new creature in Him. Let us rejoice and be glad and sing praises unto our Creator! We are no longer bound by the chains of the enemy, but have been set free to live!
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.
Don't sell out your Joy... It is your Badge as a Believer. Carry it everywhere you go.
