I Will Not Let You Go – The Fight of Faith

In our Bible Word of God today, we’ll be talking about determination and endurance. We believe this is a timely topic in our Daily Bible Study series as we take the case study of Jacob wrestling in Genesis 32:26.
Jacob said "I won't let you go until you bless me." What was he thinking? He was so determined to be blessed that he refused letting go.

Genesis 32:24-28 (God’s Word)
So Jacob was left alone. Then a man wrestled with him until dawn.
When the man saw that he could not win against Jacob, he touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that it was dislocated as they wrestled. Then the man said, "Let me go; it's almost dawn." But Jacob answered, "I won't let you go until you bless me."
So the man asked him, "What's your name?" "Jacob," he answered. The man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob but Israel because you have struggled with God and with men-and you have won."

Taking a closer look at these case study, we’ll notice that Jacob was “LEFT ALONE” this is to say, there are some blessings and great heights you might never attain until you are left alone.Let go of those heavy burden of grieve you are carrying.

He (Jacob) was not scared of Fighting to get what he wanted (blessings). Though his socket hip was dislocated, he refused letting go saying "I won't let you go until you bless me." Cry out to God and say "I won't let you go until you bless me."

Who do I fight with? Its not a physical combat with clubs and swords but spiritual; It’s a fight of faith “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck” 1Ti 1:18 -19.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)" 2 Cor 10:3 - 4

Are you ready to take back what the enemy has taken from you? Then you must be ready to fight the good FIGHT OF FAITH. Say Father! "I won't let you go until you bless me."
