Beware of Covetousness

In our Daily Bible Study today, we’ll talk about Covetousness. What is covetousness? Covetousness is without a doubt the biggest sin in the United States and Europe today

This is an act of wanting everything around that you cannot afford to get at that moment. An online dictionary defines covetousness as greediness and being too materialistic. "Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth."  Luke 12:15. How does it set in?
-         When you see something that is not yours and you eyes follow after it.
-         When you take or hide something that is not yours (Achan saw, coveted, took and hide the accursed thing) - Joshua 7:21,11

What Happen When Achan Was Caught?
a.      Achan was withdrawn and removed from among the people – Joshua 7:23
b.      Achan was disgraced in front of all the people – Joshua 7:23
c.       They collected and destroyed all that he took – Joshua 7:24
d.      Achan and his family were destroyed – Joshua 7:25. May the sin of our fore fathers not follow us.

What were the results of Achan’s acts?
1.      God got angry – Joshua 7:1
2.      People got troubled – Joshua 7:25
3.      The leaders got confused – Joshua 7:6

Beware of covetousness! It’s a Killer.
