But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me - 2 Corinthians 12:9
The sooner I relinquish my own power—or, my own strength and control—of ANY thing, the sooner Christ’s power can go to work overcoming any obstacle, in any circumstance, and in any area of my life. For there is nothing too hard for God! – "I am the LORD God of all humanity. Nothing is too hard for me” Jeremiah 32:27
As children of the Most High God, El Shaddai, we only live “under the circumstances” when we try to operate in our own power or force our own way. But if we desire to soar high above the stormy troubles of this world “on wings like eagles”, we must first learn to rest (complete, unwavering trust) in the loving grace and unfailing power of our Father in heaven, knowing there is nothing more we shall ever need. For greater is the power of His immeasurable grace working IN US than any evil thing trying to come against us, in Jesus’ name! (1John 4:4)
…The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40: 27-31 NLT) – Guest Post (Tracie Justice)
