The Holy Spirit Bible Study - Ministry of the Holy Spirit: People are looking for help to change. Most have character flaws they don’t like in themselves, but they don’t have any idea what to do to get rid of those flaws.

So these people keep on plugging away in a religious system that demands more and more out of them so that new buildings can be built and new programs can be started. Finally, spiritual exhaustion sets in, and they give up the fight. They resign themselves to always remaining the way they are and view God as the head of organizationalism. Assuming that their relationship with God is based on their relationship with an organization, they are left faithless and frustrated.

Every Condemning Sentence Canceled

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” — John 16:13

The Holy Spirit teaches my reborn human spirit that I am no longer under the condemning sentences of sin, sickness, and poverty. I no longer have to walk as an unregenerate man in the flesh. I am to walk after my reborn human spirit as I am taught and led by the Holy Spirit.

What is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost

What is Holy Ghost baptism? Baptism is an action that suggests a total immersion. John's water baptism was for repentance and a preparation for the spiritual baptism. 

The promised Baptism with the Holy Ghost comes from the Father and with it we receive power! 

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Lets take a brief walk into the subject baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said that we would "receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you" in Acts 1:8. Power to live holy lives, power to witness, power to pray, to understand scripture, to minister, and to lay our lives down. I always tell my friends often that Christianity without POWER is just another religion entirely.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

When many believers speak of the work of the "Holy Spirit", they are speaking about the operations of the Spirit of God in the material world in which we live, and within us.

But God the Holy Spirit isn't here just to hang out, or to do a miracle or two for sport. The Spirit is there to cause things to happen in peoples' lives that bring them more in tune with God's purposes on earth (and beyond). When the Spirit starts changing someone, it shows as a growth in character, a change in their way of life that is good for the people they live among.

Inward Transformation Before Outward Change

When it comes to transformation of lives and destiny, so many people; although hungry for more of God and stirred up in their spirits to pray much in the Holy Ghost, gave up before any noticeable results had occurred. Then I realized that most of those people had given up because they were looking for their answers in the wrong place. When it comes to the issues of the spiritual, it is always inward transformation before outward change (most often)

Let me give you an example. Suppose a believer gets all excited about praying in tongues.

He decides, Look out, devil! I’m going to lock myself away somewhere and pray in tongues an hour every day. And woe to the man who tries to get in my way to stop me! He’ll have boot marks on his back end!

So this man marches to his prayer closet with a ten-pound Bible under his arm.

The Four Ways - Channels the Holy Spirit Communicates or Speaks

Today, we will discuss the four basic ways the Holy Spirit communicates to us and how to access divine guidance.
I have no doubt that to know the channels the Holy Spirit communicates will definitely be of help in building you up spiritually. 

Inner Witness - First, He communicates by the inner witness. The Bible says that the Kingdom of God, which is within us, is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom. 14:17). The Holy Spirit who dwells inside of us is a continual Source of absolute peace. He will continually pour His peace throughout our being if we will let Him.

Yielding Your Authority to the Holy Spirit

This is where I get excited. In His infinite wisdom, the Holy Ghost knew what to target in order to help us in our infirmities. Certainly He wasn’t going to try to conquer our soul, our mind, our will, our intellect, or our emotions first. Most of us have proven beyond any reasonable doubt that we can be pushed around in those arenas. We get mad at each other; we fall into sin; we live on the edge of carnality; we can’t overcome our soul enough to pray as we should.

Who is the Holy Spirit and How to Receive Him

The subject and person of the Holy Spirit is one of the most misunderstood and misinterpreted in the Christian faith. The Evangelicals see Him as the dormant, unannounced guest of the "inside."
The Pentecostals see Him as the force behind speaking in tongues and the motivator of spiritual zeal. Often, His presence is heralded with great emotional display.

Healing Scriptures

Over 20 percent of the Gospel is about the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray and heal. He sent them to carry on his work. Wouldn’t Jesus want his followers to pray for healing today?

Many spiritual writers have defined the call of healing so narrowly that some people feel they don’t qualify. But today a new awakening in faith has made us realize we are not only called into healing for ourselves, but also in various degrees into healing each other.

Speaking in tongues - Diversities of Tongues In God’s Government

We’ve seen that the diversities of tongues is an entire operation of God placed into God’s government to serve a crucial purpose. To deny it is to deny the perfecting of the Body of Christ.

So let’s find out more about the role of speaking in tongues in God’s government and the reason God would designate an entire operation to it. I want you to understand what He has made available to us through this awesome gift of speaking with tongues - a gift that Satan has deceived many into believing is either obsolete or insignificant.
